Every legal export of live plants from Indonesia needs a Phytosanitary Certificate. A few rare species need an extra CITES permit. We handle both for you — here is what they are, how long they take, and what you need per country.
1. Phytosanitary Certificate (Wajib)
Issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture (Badan Karantina Pertanian). Officers inspect our greenhouse, check roots/leaves for pests/diseases, and stamp the certificate. Customs in your country will ask for it — without it, the box is destroyed.
- Cost: included in our quote (typically $18–$25 per shipment, not per plant)
- Time: 1–2 weeks after we submit (we submit every Monday & Thursday)
- Validity: 14 days after issuance — we ship immediately after it is issued
2. CITES — Only for Some Species
CITES Appendix II regulates wild-collected endangered plants. Our tissue-cultured Scindapsus, Philodendron, Monstera, Hoya are NOT CITES-listed — no extra permit. A few wild-origin Anthurium, Amydrium, wild Aglaonema are CITES-listed and need an additional permit from BKSDA.
- Cost: $15–$25 extra per shipment if needed
- Time: +5–7 days on top of Phytosanitary
- How to know: We check your cart before packing and WhatsApp you: “Your Anthurium silver crom needs CITES — add $20 and 6 days, OK?”
3. What You Need Per Country
